What you'll bring to the role:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a related school support position
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students
• Patience, adaptability, and resourcefulness in assisting students with diverse needs
• High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or paraprofessional certification preferred
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to school protocols

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing academic and behavioral support to students throughout the school day
• Assisting lead teachers in classroom management and instructional preparation
• Working one-on-one or in small groups with students needing additional support
• Helping facilitate inclusive classroom activities and promoting student engagement
• Assisting with supervision during non-instructional periods, such as lunch or recess
• Supporting students with special needs in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Contributing to a safe, respectful, and welcoming school climate
