Desired qualifications and experience:
- Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school or educational environment
- Ability to follow teacher direction and uphold classroom routines
- Strong communication skills for interacting with students, educators, and teams
- Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to assist students with differing abilities and needs
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or paraprofessional certification is a plus
Key responsibilities:
- Support teachers in implementing lesson plans and reinforcing instructional goals
- Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students needing additional support
- Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Help with behavior management and facilitate positive student interactions
- Assist in supervised activities both inside and outside the classroom
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the appropriate staff
