Make a direct impact on the lives of young students in Marin County as one of three Paraprofessionals supporting elementary school classrooms for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work across multiple vibrant school communities, assisting educators and fostering a positive, nurturing environment for students from Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade.

As a valued member of the classroom team, you’ll lend guidance and support in both instructional and personal care tasks. Your day may include one-on-one scaffolding for students’ learning activities, small group supervision, and general classroom assistance, as well as providing help to children with toileting and diapering as needed. Flexibility and a positive attitude will help you thrive, as you’ll be moving between sites such as Strawberry Point, Park, Edna Maguire, Tam Valley, and Old Mill Elementary Schools in the Mill Valley area.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience as a Paraprofessional or Instructional Aide in a school setting preferred
  • Willingness to assist with personal care tasks including toileting/diapering
  • Ability to work with children in both lower elementary (TK-K) and upper elementary (1st-5th) age groups
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Must be comfortable completing district-required paraprofessional training

Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in maintaining a structured, inclusive classroom
  • Encourage student engagement and participation in learning activities
  • Foster a supportive environment for children’s social/emotional development
  • Provide personal and educational assistance as assigned

This full-time position runs from August 17th, 2026 through June 11th, 2027, offering consistent weekday hours with a supportive district team.
