Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional, teacher's aide, or similar educational support role
• Understanding of school routines, classroom dynamics, and individualized student needs
• Strong communication skills, able to liaison between students, teachers, and virtual specialists
• Comfort with basic technology to enable smooth virtual SLP sessions
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in student growth
• Ability to follow direction, adhere to education plans, and work effectively in a team setting

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing instructional activities and lesson plans under teacher and SLP direction
• Facilitate and supervise virtual SLP sessions, ensuring technology and student engagement are managed
• Support students’ individual education goals, providing accommodations as needed
• Maintain organization and documentation relating to student progress and session outcomes
• Foster an inclusive, encouraging, and safe classroom environment
• Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and school staff to reinforce positive learning
