Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support as well as classroom assistance alongside teachers and supervisory staff
• Help implement instructional activities and adapt materials as outlined in each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Planning and Placement Team (PPT) recommendations
• Assist teachers with supervision of students to ensure a positive and productive learning environment
• Support the personal care needs of students, which may include toileting assistance when necessary
• Promote social and academic development for students with diverse learning needs

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional or directly related experience required
• Current Paraprofessional Certificate (Parapro) or at least an Associate’s degree (or completion of 60 college credits) is mandatory
• Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, supervisors, and other educational staff
