Key Qualifications:

• At least one year of experience as a paraprofessional in a school or special education setting
• Ability to commute within 35 minutes to Lehigh or Carbon County locations
• Availability for a typical school day schedule, with start times as early as 7:00 AM and end times up to 3:30 PM
• Meet one of the PA state paraprofessional qualification criteria: 48 college credits, an associate degree or higher, or successful completion of a state/local assessment (certificates accepted or obtainable within 60 days of hire)
• Willingness to complete onboarding requirements, all background clearances, and the state-mandated credentialing process within deadlines
• Comfortable with job duties including assisting with behaviors, some lifting, toileting, and chasing after students if needed

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with certified educators to provide classroom and individual support
• Adapt to changing assignments based on student and school needs
• Support students’ instructional, social, and behavioral goals as directed by supervisory staff
• Maintain reliable, on-time attendance and swift, responsive support throughout the school day
