Your ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish will be key as you help foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.

What you’ll bring:

• Fluency in both English and Spanish
• Experience working with young children or students with special needs preferred
• Comfort with providing physical and mobility assistance, including safe transfers
• Patience, dependability, and a true student-centered approach
• Flexibility to meet the evolving needs of the student and classroom

Key responsibilities:

• Offer compassionate 1:1 support to a kindergarten student with spina bifida
• Assist with physical tasks, including transferring in and out of a chair and supporting daily living activities
• Encourage participation in lessons, support fine motor skill development, and ensure access to classroom materials
• Escort students to and from the self-contained classroom as needed
• Maintain open, effective communication with teachers, school staff, and families in both languages
• Collaborate with the instructional team as the student’s needs evolve under their 504 Plan and pending evaluations

Your support will play a vital role in empowering a young learner to participate fully in classroom life. The assignment runs now through mid-December, with a consistent daytime schedule totaling 37.5 hours a week.
