Support a 5th grade student’s academic and personal growth in this rewarding contract paraprofessional opportunity, beginning as soon as possible and continuing through the end of the school year. This role is ideal for compassionate, dedicated individuals excited about making a meaningful impact in an educational setting. You’ll work full-time, one-on-one with a student who faces mobility challenges and requires assistance with eating and personal care.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience as a school paraprofessional or in a similar role strongly preferred
• Ability to provide sensitive assistance with mobility, feeding, and personal hygiene in accordance with the student’s needs
• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
• Capability to collaborate effectively with teachers and support staff
• Willingness to support a positive learning environment for all students

Primary Responsibilities:

• Offer direct, individualized support to the assigned 5th grade student throughout the school day
• Assist with transitions, mobility, and repositioning to ensure safety and comfort
• Help with feeding during meal and snack times, and provide discreet personal care as needed
• Facilitate the student’s engagement and participation in classroom activities and instruction
• Partner with classroom educators to implement individualized education plans and maintain documentation of daily progress
• Adjust to evolving needs and demonstrate flexibility in all assigned duties
