As a vital member of the educational team, you will:

Desired Experience & Skills:

• Previous experience as a school paraprofessional or similar role
• Genuine interest in supporting students with cognitive disabilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for working with children
• Ability to assist with academic tasks as well as social and behavioral skills
• Reliability in maintaining consistent attendance and following school protocols

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support and encouragement for a 5th grade student
• Assist with daily classroom activities, adapting materials and assignments as needed
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, therapists, and staff to reinforce learning goals
• Foster an inclusive, supportive, and positive learning environment
• Encourage independence and self-confidence in the student’s daily routine
• Monitor student progress and actively participate in team discussions
