Both require close supervision, as well as support with daily living activities, including toileting and diapering. The older student experiences behavioral challenges, making patience and adaptability especially valuable. If you have experience with a hoyer lift, that's an advantage, though training will be provided for the right fit.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous paraprofessional or 1:1 instructional aide experience (especially in a school setting)
• Compassionate approach to supporting students with medical or physical needs
• Comfort assisting with hygiene, toileting, and diapering
• Ability to respond calmly and proactively to behavioral needs
• Experience using a hoyer lift a plus (training available if needed)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to adapt to changing needs throughout the day

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct assistance for two female students, supporting their safety, comfort, and active participation in school routines
• Assist with daily living skills, including personal hygiene and mobility as needed
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teaching and specialist staff
• Follow individualized plans and school protocols for student care and behavior management

Typical building hours are 8:45 am to 4:15 pm, with a slightly earlier start for Tuesday team meetings at 8:00 am.
