Desired Background and Experience:

• Minimum of 1.5 years’ classroom experience working with special education students
• Direct experience with behaviors, autism, or medically fragile youth strongly preferred
• Profound understanding of instructional strategies and accommodations
• For medically fragile position: experience supporting students with complex medical needs; familiarity with Hoyer lifts is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and patience in high-needs scenarios
• Ability to follow educational and behavioral plans under teacher supervision
• Willingness to receive additional, role-specific training as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional and behavioral support to students individually or in small groups
• Assist in carrying out individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment for students with significant challenges
