Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) and Paraprofessional (Parapro) certification (both required).
  • Experience working with young children in a school setting is highly valued.
  • Comfortable assisting with toileting and personal care for students when needed.
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to foster supportive relationships.
  • Must be available 32.5 to 35 hours per week, during school hours.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities for elementary students.
  • Provide individualized or small group instruction to reinforce learning concepts.
  • Assist with classroom management and help create a positive, encouraging environment.
  • Help students with daily living activities, including toileting and hygiene, in a respectful and dignified manner.
  • Collaborate with educators and staff to monitor student progress and adapt support strategies as needed.
