Required Skills & Experience:

• Previous paraprofessional experience in a school environment
• Demonstrated skills in managing student behavior and maintaining a positive, structured atmosphere
• Strong comfort level with technology—able to assist students with logging into virtual sessions, managing emails, and downloading or printing materials
• Ability to commute to Macon as needed
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable organizational and multitasking skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Escort speech students to designated rooms for their scheduled virtual speech services
• Actively monitor and assist students during online therapy sessions, ensuring engagement and addressing any immediate needs
• Operate as the onsite extension (“hands and feet”) of the virtual therapist, helping facilitate each session’s logistics
• Set up technology, log students into Teams, and manage virtual communication
• Download, print, and distribute therapy-related documents as directed
• Support classroom and school staff by maintaining confidentiality and a supportive environment
