Instructional Aide in Bourbonnais, IL

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (IL PEL) is a strict requirement
• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a school-based support role preferred
• Understanding of classroom routines and ability to assist with instructional activities
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to providing a positive and inclusive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers in daily instruction and classroom management
• Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students as directed
• Help facilitate classroom activities, projects, and assignments
• Assist with supervision in various school settings, such as the cafeteria, playground, or during transitions
• Foster a supportive, respectful atmosphere aligned with school values and behavioral expectations
• Offer academic and social support to students of varying skill levels
• Collaborate effectively with teachers and staff to promote student success
