What you'll bring:

• Experience as a paraprofessional or instructional aide, preferably in a school setting
• Familiarity with virtual learning platforms and technology
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to provide attentive, compassionate support to students with diverse needs
• Flexibility in adapting to changing schedules and requirements
• Collaborative spirit with educators and therapists
• Basic understanding of occupational therapy support strategies (preferred, not required)

Key responsibilities:

• Assist the virtual occupational therapist in facilitating student sessions
• Support students with assigned activities, ensuring they remain engaged and focused
• Manage virtual materials and help prepare resources needed for online OT interventions
• Monitor student participation, providing positive feedback and documenting progress as needed
• Collaborate regularly with special education teams and communicate observations
• Encourage students’ independence and confidence in completing therapeutic tasks
• Uphold confidentiality and follow all protocols for remote learning and privacy
