Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a school-based paraprofessional or classroom aide.
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with the ability to interpret in educational settings.

• Strong interpersonal skills for working with students, teachers, and school staff.
• High school diploma or equivalent, with additional certifications in sign language interpretation preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom instruction and discussions between teachers, staff, and students who use sign language.
• Provide direct 1:1 and group support to students with individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Assist the lead teacher with implementing lesson plans, classroom management, and educational activities.
• Modify instructional materials to meet varied learning needs.
• Support students’ social and emotional development throughout the school day.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
