Your days will be spent collaborating with lead teachers and supervisors, ensuring students receive individualized guidance as outlined in their personalized education plans. This contract opportunity is ideal for compassionate educators with experience in behavioral supports, special education, or similar fields, ready to work hands-on with students in grades K–5 and intermediate levels.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required
- Meets NCLB Requirements:
- Holds an Associate's degree or higher, or
- Possesses sufficient college credits, or
- Has successfully passed the Parapro Assessment Examination
- Demonstrated previous experience in a school behavioral or special education setting, or directly related experience
- Ability to effectively assist in supervising and instructing special education students
- Strong commitment to supporting educational and behavioral objectives for diverse learners
Responsibilities:
- Partner with teachers to implement IEP and PPT goals for special education students
- Deliver one-on-one and group support in both classroom and individual settings
- Foster a supportive learning environment, helping students achieve academic and behavioral progress
- Assist in supervising student activities as directed by educators and supervisors
- Promote positive behaviors and reinforce the school’s educational values
