As a Student Care Worker, you'll help nurture academic and personal growth for elementary and intermediate school students, working both one-on-one and within classrooms in collaboration with teachers and supervisors.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Experience as a paraprofessional or in a behavioral/special education role within a school setting, or closely related field
- Comfortable supporting students in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12 as needed
- High School Diploma required
- Must meet NCLB requirements:
- Either possess an Associate’s Degree or higher, or sufficient college credits
- Or have passed the Parapro Assessment Examination
- Skilled in supporting students under IEPs and PPTs
- Ability to work closely with lead teachers and supervisors, effectively managing behavioral supports
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers by supervising and instructing special education students, both individually and within the classroom
- Implement behavior intervention plans and provide one-on-one support
- Support students’ academic and social development as directed by individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation and learning
