A rewarding opportunity is available for a Student Care Worker specializing in paraprofessional support with behavioral experience, serving students across elementary, intermediate, and secondary grade levels (K-12) in a school setting located in Bridgeport, CT. This contract position offers weekly pay with benefits, providing meaningful work supporting diverse student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support and classroom assistance alongside lead teachers and supervisors.
  • Assist in the supervision and instruction of special education students as outlined in PPT and IEP plans.
  • Support student learning by implementing educational objectives tailored to individual needs.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to create a positive learning environment for students requiring behavioral and academic support.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Prior experience in school behavioral support, special education, or closely related roles is required.
  • Must hold a High School Diploma.
  • Fulfill NCLB requirements by either:
    • Possessing an Associate’s Degree or higher, or sufficient college credits, or
    • Having passed the Parapro Assessment Examination successfully.
  • Experience working with students in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12 is preferred.
