Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional in an educational setting is preferred
- Familiarity or experience working with students in Grades K–5, Grades 6–8, or Grades 9–12
- Special education or behavioral support background strongly preferred
- Ability to adapt to 1:1 student support or broader classroom assistance roles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and commitment to supporting diverse learners
Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering classroom instruction
- Provide individualized attention to students, including those with special needs or behavioral challenges
- Assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of certified staff
- Help create a supportive, inclusive atmosphere for all students
- Monitor student progress and offer feedback to lead teachers and staff
