Make a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary students by providing supportive, individualized guidance within an engaging school community. Two contract positions are now open for experienced paraprofessionals who are passionate about special education and ready to start making an impact as soon as possible. These roles are based near Brockton, MA, and will continue through the end of the school year.
In these roles, you'll collaborate closely with classroom teachers and specialists, either supporting a fourth-grade student one-on-one or working with a small group of students in fifth grade. Your influence will help foster academic growth, positive behaviors, and stronger social-emotional skills.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Experience as a paraprofessional or special education assistant in a school setting
- Familiarity with academic interventions and behavioral support strategies
- Ability to build rapport with students and collaborate with educators
- Patience, empathy, and dedication to fostering inclusive learning
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant post-secondary coursework preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support based on student needs
- Implement teacher-directed accommodations and modifications
- Monitor student progress and offer consistent, constructive feedback
- Foster a safe, respectful, and motivating classroom environment
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to review plans and adapt strategies
