Exciting opportunity available for a compassionate and proactive Certified Teacher Assistant to support elementary students on a full-time contract assignment near Bronx, NY. This position plays a key role in enriching the learning environment for K-3rd grade students across two elementary schools, partnering closely with educators to ensure every child receives the guidance and assistance they need.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid New York Teacher Assistant (TA) Certification is required
  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional in an educational setting is preferred
  • Comfortable supporting students with varying behaviors and learning needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Reliable, flexible, and committed to fostering a positive classroom atmosphere

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist lead teachers in delivering instructional activities to students in grades K-3
  • Work directly with students individually and in small groups to reinforce lessons and concepts
  • Help manage classroom behavior and provide appropriate interventions when necessary
  • Support students with different learning needs and abilities in achieving their academic goals
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow school district policies and behavioral protocols
