Instructional Assistant - Brunswick, ME

Make a meaningful impact on students’ educational journeys as a paraprofessional supporting school classrooms in the Falmouth, ME area. This full-time, contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with students and educators throughout the school year, helping young learners succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small-group support to students, both within and outside the classroom
• Assist with academic tasks and classroom engagement activities
• Support students in developing social-emotional skills and appropriate behaviors
• Reinforce classroom expectations and positive conduct
• Collaborate daily with teachers and other staff to create enriching learning experiences
• Supervise students to ensure a safe and encouraging environment
• Help foster student independence and daily living abilities as needed
• Maintain an inclusive and positive learning atmosphere for all students

Qualifications:

• At least 60 college credits completed
• Previous experience working with children or in a school environment preferred
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well within a team of educators and support staff
• Demonstrates patience, reliability, and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting student growth
