Special Education Para Professional in Brunswick, ME

Support student growth and make a difference in the classroom as a Paraprofessional in the Falmouth, Maine area. In this full-time, Monday through Friday role for the school year, you'll work closely with teachers and school staff to help students achieve their academic and developmental goals.

Qualifications:

• At least 60 college credits completed
• Previous experience with children or in a classroom is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to effectively collaborate with educators and support staff
• Patience, dependability, and a strong desire to help students thrive

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small-group academic support
• Assist with classroom assignments and activities
• Support positive social, emotional, and behavioral development
• Reinforce classroom rules and foster a positive learning environment
• Aid teachers with lesson activities and supervise students as needed
• Assist students in building independence and handling day-to-day tasks
• Ensure a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all students
• Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to meet student goals
