Teacher's Aide - Burnsville, Minnesota

Working regular school hours from 8:45 am to 4:00 pm, you’ll play a key role in fostering academic and personal growth for learners who need it most.

What We’re Seeking:

• Two years of college credits from an accredited institution, or
• An associate’s degree or higher, or
• Passing score on a recognized academic assessment (such as ParaPro, ParaPathways, or The Master Teacher), or
• Demonstrated competencies per MDE’s approved grid
• PCA certificate (or willingness to obtain; a free, quick process)
• Minimum of one year’s experience supporting school-aged children in a professional setting
• Preferred: Two or more years in a school-based paraprofessional role, especially in special education environments
• Compassion, patience, and strong teamwork skills

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support and assistance to students in a high-needs classroom, focusing on individualized learning and behavioral plans
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to implement educational activities and accommodations
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all learners
• Monitor student progress and behavior, documenting and communicating observations as needed
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and personal care tasks
