Teacher's Aide - Byron, Georgia

In this role, you'll travel daily to Macon, GA to support classroom teachers and directly engage with students, providing the guidance and encouragement that help them thrive. Your previous experience as a Paraprofessional will be essential, as will your certification and understanding of the specialized needs of students with visual impairments.

Qualifications:

• Current and active Paraprofessional certification in Georgia (Paraprofessional GACE passed)
• Experience supporting students in an educational setting, preferably those with visual impairments or special needs
• Ability to commit to a full-time schedule (Monday–Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm)
• Reliable transportation for daily travel to Macon, GA
• Approachable, patient, and adaptable communication style
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in the classroom by preparing materials and adapting resources to support students’ unique needs
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students, ensuring safety, engagement, and growth
• Maintain a responsive and encouraging presence, helping students build essential skills
• Collaborate with educators and staff to promote an accessible, positive learning environment
• Contribute to classroom organization, supervision, and daily routines
