Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or educational assistant is highly valued
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, teachers, and staff
- Ability to provide instructional support to students individually and in small groups
- Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed
- High school diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary coursework in education or a related field is a plus
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans and supporting students’ academic progress
- Foster a supportive, inclusive environment for all learners, including those with special needs or individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide one-on-one or small group assistance in academic, behavioral, or social-emotional learning
- Support students in classroom activities, transitions, and classroom management routines
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with staff and families
- Adapt to changing needs within the classroom and support educational initiatives as directed
