Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional or educational assistant is highly valued
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, teachers, and staff
  • Ability to provide instructional support to students individually and in small groups
  • Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary coursework in education or a related field is a plus

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans and supporting students’ academic progress
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive environment for all learners, including those with special needs or individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide one-on-one or small group assistance in academic, behavioral, or social-emotional learning
  • Support students in classroom activities, transitions, and classroom management routines
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with staff and families
  • Adapt to changing needs within the classroom and support educational initiatives as directed
