Your Role & Responsibilities:

• Provide vital instructional and behavioral support to Pre-K students.
• Assist the classroom teacher with daily activities, routines, and smooth transitions.
• Encourage and foster academic, social, and emotional development in each student.
• Work closely with the education team to implement individualized learning and behavioral plans.
• Support personal care and communication needs, promoting independence in daily living skills when required.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff to create a supportive, inclusive classroom culture.
• Champion a safe, positive, and engaging environment for all children.
• Monitor student progress and share insights with the appropriate educational team members.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Current Maine Ed Tech III certification, or eligibility to obtain it.
• Prior experience working with young children, ideally in a school or early childhood setting.
• Background in supporting students with special education needs is a plus.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management abilities.
