Qualifications:

• High school diploma and copies of graduation documentation
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification from an in-person program (virtual certificates are not accepted)
• Minimum of 1.5 years of direct experience as a paraprofessional or in a related educational support capacity
• Strong communication, patience, and adaptability, especially when working with elementary-aged children with Autism
• Enthusiasm for collaborating within a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom assistance under the direction of certified teachers, reinforcing lessons and supporting instructional activities
• Implement individualized strategies to enhance participation and learning for students with Autism
• Foster a safe and supportive classroom environment, encouraging student growth and engagement
• Assist with personal care, behavior management, and social skill development as needed
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development
