This contract-based paraprofessional position offers the chance to work closely with young learners in an exceptional children's program. Located near Canton, NC, you'll play a vital role assisting students in grades K-4, with occasional involvement across grades K-8, providing both one-on-one and small group support. Start date is in just two weeks.

Essential Qualifications:

• Experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar education support role
• Background working with students with exceptional needs or within special education environments
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated instruction
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing assignments, offering support to different students throughout the day
• Patience, empathy, and commitment to fostering inclusive learning
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers and school staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to a K-4 student on a 1:1 basis, with flexibility to assist other students as needed
• Aid in the implementation of teacher-designed learning and behavioral plans
• Assist with classroom instruction, positive redirection, and social-emotional learning
• Help facilitate group activities, reinforce lesson concepts, and encourage student engagement
• Support students’ daily routines and transitions within the school environment
• Document observations and communicate progress to the educational team
