Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or teaching assistant in a K-12 school environment is highly valued
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or completed associate’s degree preferred
- Ability to assist students with diverse learning needs and adapt to various classroom environments
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times
- Capable of following teacher direction and school protocols effectively
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional and behavioral support to students under the guidance of classroom teachers
- Assist with small group and one-on-one learning activities
- Help implement academic plans and accommodations as needed
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Support students with daily assignments, classroom routines, and transitions
- Monitor student progress and document observations for the educational team
- Contribute proactively to classroom management and student engagement
