Instructional Aide - Carrollton, VA

In this position, you will support two elementary-aged students throughout their school day, ensuring they remain engaged and on task within the classroom environment. The students are non-aggressive, creating a supportive atmosphere focused on their development and well-being.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing 1:1 individualized classroom support for two elementary students
• Implementing effective behavior management techniques to promote a focused learning environment
• Assisting with toileting, diapering, and other personal hygiene needs as necessary
• Redirecting students as needed to maintain attention and participation in activities
• Collaborating with teaching staff to support student learning objectives
• Documenting daily observations and communication as required

Preferred background and qualifications:

• Previous experience with behavior management in an educational setting is essential
• Associate’s degree or equivalent education is highly preferred
• Demonstrated skill in supporting children with personal care needs
• Ability to adapt communication and support styles to individual student requirements
• Recent reference from a manager within the last 2-3 years is required prior to submittal

The daily schedule runs from 9:25 AM to 3:50 PM, providing consistent hours in a collaborative educational environment.
