Instructional Aide in Castle Hayne, NC

Step into a meaningful contract opportunity providing crucial support as a Deaf/Blind Intervener for a 4th-grade student. Located in the Castle Hayne, NC area, this position starts on August 21st and runs through early June, offering the chance to make a true difference in a child's educational experience.

You’ll work 37.5 to 40 hours per week, serving as a dedicated 1:1 paraprofessional, assisting one student each day. Your role will be pivotal in facilitating communication access, fostering inclusive participation in classroom activities, and ensuring the student's needs are met consistently throughout the school day.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional or in a classroom support capacity, particularly working with students who are deaf-blind or have similar needs
• Familiarity with assistive communication devices, sign language, or alternate modes of communication is highly valued
• Ability to build trust and supportive relationships with students
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with educators, specialists, and families
• Detail-oriented and committed to nurturing a positive, accessible learning environment
