Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Arizona Special Education Teaching License or Certificate
  • Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Previous experience within a paraprofessional or support staff capacity in schools
  • Strong understanding of special education compliance, IEP processes, and support strategies
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams and families

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Guide the creation, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to ensure each student’s unique needs are met
  • Manage the referral and student evaluation process, including participating in placement and review conferences
  • Provide training and coordinate curriculum development with staff, sharing strategies and resources for student success
  • Serve as a bridge between educators, administrators, parents, and related service providers, ensuring alignment and open communication
  • Support daily classroom activities, encourage student independence, and implement instructional adaptations under the direction of certified staff
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
