Instructional Assistant - Charlestown, RI

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students and teachers for the full school year, with two unique paraprofessional openings available near Charlestown, RI. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience or expand your credentials—support is offered for those seeking RBT certification, and a background in education is helpful but not required.

Openings:

• Position 1 involves providing dedicated 1:1 support for a student, while occasionally assisting elsewhere in the school as needed.
• Position 2 is focused on classroom-based support, working collaboratively with teachers to assist groups of students and contribute to daily instruction.

Both roles are full-time, following the school schedule from 7:50 AM to 2:10 PM each day, Monday through Friday, for the complete academic year.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Enthusiasm for working with children and supporting their educational success
• RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification is a plus—not required; guidance will be provided for certification
• Team-oriented mentality and flexibility to adapt to varying needs during the school day
• Professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills
• Ability to live on Block Island during the work week (due to the ferry schedule)
