Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Associate’s degree (2-year degree) or higher is required
• Prior experience working with children on the autism spectrum, including verbal and non-verbal
• Familiarity with behavior management strategies and the ability to implement individualized Behavior Plans
• Collaborative team player; able to coordinate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff
• Strong interpersonal skills to build supportive rapport with students and encourage their growth

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development in classroom and group settings
• Follow and apply established Behavior Intervention Plans under the guidance of educational specialists
• Adapt to diverse learning needs, facilitating inclusive participation and engagement
• Assist in preparing classroom materials and implementing instructional activities
• Provide consistent, compassionate support while promoting an encouraging and respectful atmosphere
• Observe and document student progress, reporting insights to the educational team
