Instructional Aide - Chester, PA

Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity as a paraprofessional supporting students in an onsite, school-based environment. Starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 12, 2026, this full-time position offers the chance to make a positive impact on the lives of K-12 students, particularly those in special education and those with behavioral challenges. You’ll collaborate closely with educators and provide essential one-on-one support, adapting to changing needs as they arise.

Key Qualifications:

• High school diploma required
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Prior experience in a school setting
• Comfortable working with SPED students and behaviorally challenged youth
• Experience with a K-12 caseload
• Ability to manage toileting/diapering, elopement, and behavioral support
• Must possess or be eligible to obtain Pennsylvania clearances
• Reliable transportation and professional references required
• Comfortable in an urban educational setting
• Willingness to disclose district at the outset

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 support to students, including those with special needs and behavioral considerations
• Assist with toileting, diapering, and elopement management
• Provide educational assistance and implement behavioral management strategies
• Respond effectively to fluctuating student needs in a dynamic classroom environment
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to foster student success
• Attend a Zoom interview as part of the hiring process
