Instructional Assistant - Chester, PA

The assignment runs through June 10, 2027, with a start date as soon as possible.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience supporting students in school-based environments
• Comfortable serving both general and special education populations, including students who may present with behavioral challenges (elopement, kicking, biting, etc.)
• High school diploma required
• Current CPR certification (assistance provided if you need to obtain it)
• Willingness to help with toileting and diapering when needed
• Valid, reliable transportation
• Prepared to work onsite each day
• Flexible availability between 7:15 AM and 4:00 PM to accommodate varying school schedules
• Able to provide references and complete/obtain all required Pennsylvania clearances
• Open to candidates with behavioral technician (BT) experience in addition to paraprofessionals
• Comfortable working in an urban educational setting
• Must disclose placement details as required

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 support to students, fostering independence and positive behaviors
• Assist students with daily tasks, both academically and physically
• Adapt to changing caseloads and school needs across K-12
• Maintain a positive, professional demeanor while collaborating closely with teaching staff and school administrators
• Provide care and supervision tailored to each student's unique needs
