Instructional Assistant - Chester, VT

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required
• Prior paraprofessional experience in a school setting is highly valued
• Encouraging attitude and strong communication skills
• Comfort providing support in 1:1, small group, and classroom contexts
• Ability to foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for all students

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instructional and behavioral support to high school students with mild to moderate needs
• Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and modifying assignments as necessary
• Support students in both academic and social development, ensuring a nurturing learning environment
• Monitor progress, document observations, and collaborate with educators and families
• Maintain confidentiality while adhering to all school and legal guidelines
• Contribute to a collaborative, respectful atmosphere for students and colleagues
