Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a Paraprofessional providing dedicated 1:1 support for a grade K-18 student with social and emotional needs. This contract role is conveniently located near Chicago, IL, within a vibrant school community, running from ASAP until the last day of school. Your care and encouragement will help a student thrive in their educational environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience as a Paraprofessional or in a similar support role within an educational setting
• Familiarity with supporting students with social/emotional behavioral needs
• Comfort with assisting in toileting and diapering if required
• Ability to exhibit empathy, patience, and strong communication skills
• Adaptable and responsive to the individual needs of students

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, individualized 1:1 support to a student throughout the school day
• Reinforce teacher-led instruction and assist with academic, social, or behavioral goals
• Help foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom experience
• Implement strategies and accommodations as directed by teaching staff and specialists
• Support the development of social and emotional skills
• Assist with personal care tasks if necessary
• Collaborate with educators and specialists to best serve the student's needs
