Make a meaningful impact every day by providing essential support for a student in need in a dynamic school setting near Chicago, IL. This contract position runs from as soon as possible through the end of the school year, offering a rewarding opportunity to contribute directly to the growth and development of a K-18 student. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 3:30pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, for a total of 33.75 paid hours each week.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience working as a paraprofessional in a school environment preferred
• Familiarity with supporting students with social and emotional behavioral needs
• Ability and willingness to provide 1:1 assistance, including potential toileting and diapering responsibilities
• Patience, compassion, and adaptability in supporting diverse learners
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated, individualized support for a student with unique learning and behavioral needs
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for the student
• Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and on-campus routines
• Support with social interactions and behavior management as directed by faculty
• Help with personal care tasks, which may include toileting and diapering
• Maintain documentation and communicate regularly with instructional staff
