Classroom Aide | Cicero, Illinois

Make a meaningful impact supporting students with individual needs in an educational setting near Cicero, IL. This contract role focuses on working one-on-one with a student to assist with academic, social, and emotional development from now through the end of the school year. Your compassionate approach and dedication will be vital in creating a positive and supportive environment tailored to the unique strengths and challenges of your assigned student.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar support role within a school setting
• Familiarity with supporting students exhibiting social or emotional behaviors
• Comfort with providing personal care, including toileting and diapering assistance if needed
• Ability to foster a nurturing, patient, and encouraging atmosphere
• Flexibility and professionalism when responding to evolving student and classroom needs

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with one student (ages K-18) to deliver individualized assistance throughout the school day
• Implement teacher- and team-directed strategies to address academic, behavioral, and social goals
• Provide support during lessons, transitions, and activities as required
• Assist with personal care and physical support for the student, maintaining dignity and respect
• Document progress, monitor student engagement, and communicate regularly with school staff

This opportunity runs from as soon as possible until the last day of school, following a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:15am to 3:30pm (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break). You will receive compensation for 33.75 paid hours each week, giving you consistent and predictable hours while making a meaningful difference.
