Opportunities include working in either a high school (7:15 am – 2:45 pm) or elementary setting (8:00 am – 3:30 pm). You’ll collaborate with educators, provide personalized support to students, and potentially work within a lifeskills classroom setting.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or paraeducator in a school setting is highly preferred
- Comfortable assisting in lifeskills or special education classrooms
- Ability to adapt quickly and work independently or as part of a team
- Patient, compassionate, and supportive demeanor with a strong commitment to student success
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Clearances required for working in education settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students in academic, behavioral, and functional areas as assigned
- Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and daily routines
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Support students’ individual needs, with guidance from faculty and staff
- Work collaboratively with teaching teams and specialists
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school district policies
