Teacher's Aide - Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania

Provide essential support to students as a Personal Care Aide within a dynamic school setting, working onsite across various school locations near Clarks Summit, PA. This contract role runs through June 9, 2027, with a schedule of 35 hours per week. While school assignment is determined by district need, multiple elementary, intermediate, and high schools may have openings, offering valuable experience in diverse classroom environments.

What you need to bring:

• Paraprofessional skills and experience, ideally in a school or similar setting
• Valid Pennsylvania credentialing for paraprofessionals (please submit all available documentation)
• Willingness to support students with a range of needs, including those in Special Education (Autism and Emotional)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers and staff
• Ability to adapt to different school environments and age groups (elementary through high school)
• Dedication to promoting a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere

Key responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students requiring personal care or academic assistance
• Follow individualized student plans under the guidance of certified teachers
• Help facilitate classroom routines and transitions
• Assist students with personal needs, behavioral support, and engagement in activities
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students

Application requirements:

• Resume, professional references, and Pennsylvania credentialing information
• Completion of background checks and clearances required by PA (Act 151, Act 114, Act 126, Act 168, PATCH/Act 134)
• Physical examination (within 60 days of start), drug screening, and TB testing (2-step or Quantiferon)
