1:1 1:1 Care Teacher's Aide - Clifton, New Jersey

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional, teaching assistant, or similar role in a school setting
• Strong background working 1:1 with pediatric students, including those with special needs
• Familiarity with behavior management strategies and individualized instruction
• Ability to build rapport with students and collaborate effectively with teachers and support staff
• Clear communication skills and a compassionate approach to student care
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional relevant coursework or certification preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to an assigned student throughout the school day
• Assist with academic tasks, classroom routines, and social integration
• Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) under teacher direction
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and special education staff
• Encourage student independence while ensuring their safety and wellbeing
• Adapt instructional materials and activities to meet individual student needs
• Participate in classroom activities, staff meetings, and training sessions as needed
