Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with children in educational settings, preferably as a paraprofessional
• Ability to support students with varying academic and behavioral needs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with teachers, students, and staff
• Patience, empathy, and flexibility in adapting to the changing class environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required; further relevant coursework or certification a plus

Role Responsibilities:

• Work closely with teachers to implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and lesson plans
• Provide small group or one-on-one instructional support to students
• Assist with classroom management, ensuring a safe and productive setting
• Help with daily activities, including transitions between classes, lunch supervision, and student engagement
• Document observations and communications as directed by teaching staff
• Encourage student independence and inclusion in the classroom community
