This full-time contract opportunity is based near Columbus, OH and offers the chance to work closely with students on the autism spectrum. Desired Background and Skills:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional, preferably within school environments
• Comfort and skill working with students on the autism spectrum or with special needs
• Strong communication abilities—able to connect with both students and staff members
• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine interest in supporting student development
• Ability to follow program guidelines and maintain confidentiality
• Willingness to complete designated school trainings prior to starting

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers and transition coordinators with daily academic, life skills, and vocational tasks
• Foster a safe and supportive learning environment for each student, encouraging participation and positive behaviors
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and help track student progress
• Support students with daily routines, workshops, and community-based instruction
• Collaborate with educational teams to develop effective strategies for student success
• Contribute to record-keeping and documentation for program objectives and student achievements
