Instructional Assistant - Concord, CA

Support students in their educational journey as a paraprofessional aide working alongside a virtual Occupational Therapist. This contract opportunity offers you a chance to make a direct impact by facilitating therapeutic instruction for students during the new school year. You’ll collaborate both virtually and on-site, providing hands-on support for students and helping create a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional in an educational setting preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, educators, and related service providers
• Comfortable operating technology for virtual learning and therapy sessions
• Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and commitment to supporting students’ diverse needs
• Understanding of confidentiality and professionalism in a school environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with the setup and facilitation of virtual Occupational Therapy sessions for students
• Support students in accessing and engaging with virtual OT activities and materials
• Implement strategies as directed by the Occupational Therapist to meet individual student goals
• Provide feedback regarding student participation and progress during sessions
• Facilitate communication between the OT, classroom teachers, and families as needed
• Encourage student independence and engagement, while providing appropriate support as required
