Teacher's Aide - Conroe, Texas

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional, especially in school settings
• Familiarity with supporting students with autism and behavioral challenges
• Skilled in de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention (CPI training a plus)
• Empathetic, patient, and able to build strong rapport with students and staff
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional related education preferred
• Able to work full-time onsite for the duration of the contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide ongoing, individualized support to a student within a life skills classroom
• Monitor and proactively respond to self-harming behaviors, ensuring student safety at all times
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school personnel to implement targeted interventions and behavioral plans
• Document observations and progress daily, communicating updates with the educational team
• Encourage independence and participation in classroom routines and activities
• Assist with academic, behavioral, and social goals under the direction of certified staff
