Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students’ growth just north of Charlotte! We’re seeking a dedicated paraprofessional to provide classroom assistance in a dynamic K–8 environment. As a valued team member, you will work closely with an Exceptional Children (EC) teacher, empowering students to thrive academically and personally.

This is a full-time position with regular hours, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, allowing for work-life balance and a consistent schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the EC teacher in daily classroom activities for grades K-8
• Provide individualized and small-group support to students with diverse learning needs
• Foster an inclusive, encouraging atmosphere that supports student achievement
• Help implement lesson plans, class materials, and adaptive strategies
• Support classroom organization, manage learning materials, and supervise students during transitions
• Maintain positive communication with staff and contribute to a collaborative educational setting

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional or similar support role in educational settings preferred
• Genuine passion for working with children, especially those with special needs
• Collaborative team player with strong communication skills
• Ability to adapt to varying student needs and assist in a flexible learning environment
• Reliable, punctual, and eager to make a difference each day
