Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on classroom assistance, working collaboratively with lead teachers to support instruction and classroom management.
• Assist individual students or small groups with assignments, adapting approaches for varying learning needs.
• Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages student engagement and confidence.
• Support students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD), utilizing patience and proactive strategies to promote positive outcomes.
• Maintain clear documentation of student progress and communicate effectively with staff and faculty.
• Help organize learning materials, prepare classroom activities, and contribute to a safe and nurturing space for all.

Desired Qualifications:

• GAPSC Paraprofessional Certificate or eligibility strongly preferred.
• Previous classroom paraprofessional experience—especially working with students with EBD—is a valuable asset, but not strictly required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and families.
• Adaptability, reliability, and a collaborative spirit.
