Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting or similar environment preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and staff
  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine interest in supporting diverse learners
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying classroom needs and routines
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant certifications are a plus
  • Successful completion of required background checks

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering instructional activities and classroom management
  • Provide individualized or small group support to students, ensuring they stay engaged and productive
  • Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, under supervision
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom
  • Support students in social and behavioral development, modeling positive interactions
  • Monitor student progress and communicate feedback to lead teachers or support staff
  • Assist with classroom organization, preparation of instructional materials, and supervision during transitions or breaks
