Exciting contract opportunity available for an experienced paraprofessional passionate about making a difference. This full-time role supports students in self-contained resource classrooms, requiring dedication, empathy, and adaptability. Candidates will work closely with students with diverse special education needs, providing vital support in both academic and personal care settings.

The assignment runs from immediate start through late May 2027, offering consistent hours each week. As part of a collaborative educational team, you'll help facilitate positive outcomes for students by assisting with individualized learning strategies, classroom management, and personal needs—including toileting assistance.

Candidates who bring a background in special education or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) are highly valued, but above all, patience, flexibility, and a genuine desire to support every student’s growth are essential.

Qualifications:

• Possess an active GaPSC Paraprofessional Educator Certificate
• Experience as a paraprofessional, ideally with children in special education settings
• Able to assist with all aspects of student personal care, including toileting
• Comfortable adapting to the unique needs of individual students
• Prior exposure to ABA principles or special education classroom settings is a plus
• Strong team orientation and effective communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Support students within self-contained resource classrooms under teacher guidance
• Assist in implementing individualized education plans
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
• Provide personal care and behavior management, including toileting
