Make a meaningful impact by providing vital support to elementary-aged students in a life skills-based curriculum. This contract opportunity, starting August 2026 and running through June 2027, is designed for enthusiastic paraprofessionals eager to contribute to the success and daily development of K-5 learners. Working 32 hours per week, you'll collaborate closely with educational teams to foster student independence and encourage engagement within the classroom environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Educational Technician II or III certification (required)
  • Previous experience supporting K-5 students, preferably in a life skills or special education setting
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a genuine passion for working with children with diverse needs
  • Effective communication and strong collaborative skills
  • Reliability and commitment to meeting the needs of both students and staff

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist lead teachers in the implementation of life skill-based instruction and daily routines
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support, adapting activities and materials as needed
  • Foster an inclusive, positive classroom culture that nurtures learning and personal growth
  • Document and communicate progress, concerns, and student achievements to the educational team
  • Supervise students as directed, ensuring a safe and supportive environment throughout the school day
